• The Boeing Co. required the casting to meet stringent dimensional, radiographical and metal- lurgical specifications for use on aircraft designed for space travel.
• The casting supplier used more than 60,000 lbs. of sand and hundreds of unique form chills to produce the casting.

electric sports car. Converted From: Sand casting.
• The casting supplier developed the gating for the part using casting process modeling with multiple die orientations in order to meet quality and pressure tight requirements.
• The diecast design was optimized for cast datums and machine locators that provided the best repeatability in a large four-slide die tool.
