LETTERBOX

Importers Are Not Metalcasters In the February 2012 issue of

MODERN CASTING, an article appeared about Reliance Foundry sup- plying castings to the city of Calgary, Alberta. Reliance Foundry ceased to exist as a metalcasting facility about 2004, and since then, it has become an importer and distributor of castings. Why is MODERN CASTING sup-

porting an importer of castings over local casting facilities? In my opinion, this is a jab at working metalcasters.
