Acquisition sees Massimo Zanetti expand fast-growing US business

Nowadays, Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA is among the largest coffee roasters in the US. With a manufacturing facility in Suffolk, Virginia, the company produces proprietary and private label coffee, tea and drink mix for customers in all retail channels and food service outlets throughout North America and else- where. In addition Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA franchises Chock full o’Nuts Coffee Shops and Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Cafes. Acquisition of the Sara Lee business
unit follows the 2011 acquisition of some of the assets of the Kauai Coffee Company, a former subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin. Acquiring the assets gave the Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA the capacity to bring to market nearly 50 per cent of all of the Arabica coffee grown in Hawaii.
