New version of Coffee Exporter’s
Guide published The International Coffee Organization and the International Trade Centre have announced publication of the new edition of The Coffee Exporter’s Guide, said to be the world’s most extensive, hands-on and neutral source of information on the international coffee trade. The guide covers trade issues rele- vant to coffee growers, traders, exporters, transportation compa- nies, certifiers, associations, authorities and others in coffee- producing countries. New fea- tures included in the latest ver- sion of the guide include certifi- cation, climate and women in coffee. This third edition also marks the guide’s 20th anniver- sary. The International Coffee Organization has provided infor- mation on coffee statistics and related issues that appear in the guide.

Coffee producer Trung Nguyen Group has inaugurated a coffee production plant in the northern Vietnamese province of Bac Giang. The US$30 million factory is based in the Viet Yen District's Quang Chau industrial zone. Trung Nguyen said the first phase of new plant will pro- duce its instant G7 variety to meet northern Vietnam’s growing demand for soluble coffee. The second phase of production will focus on exports, mainly to China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
