Organization

Quality

Without organization, how can you be sure your order

will be fi lled correctly in a timely manner? • Does the supplier understand the casting process you use and keep track of your inventory needs?

• Does the supplier have your records on hand to reference?

• Is there a good, easy-to-follow workflow and order process?

• Are repeat orders quick and easy? Cost To produce quality castings, quality supplies are a

necessity. And, the quality of the supplies must be consistent. Your supplier should have some sort of quality standard in place. If your supplier lets you down, chances are you will be letting down your customers, too. • Does your supplier have a quality check or standard in place?

• Does the supplier offer verification of the contents of the materials provided?

• Can your supplier guarantee quality, consistent products?

• Have you experienced a quality issue with the supplier, and was the issue resolved?

• Is the supplier well-informed on the product and aware of potential issues?

Cost is a big factor, but it should not always be the determining factor. It may be worth it to pay a little more and know that your supplier is reliable and able to meet your needs. • Is the cost competitive when compared to other suppliers?

• Is price consistent with other, similar orders? • Are there unexplained surcharges or added expenses?

• How similar is the quote to the actual price? • Is price highly variable and/or subject to changes in demand by other industries?

• Is the supplier willing to work with you to improve performance when quality issues arise?
