Less than 1% of the survey respondents said they would not be making a major purchase in the next two years. In addition to furnaces being at the top of purchasers’ wish lists, several other melt accessories were mentioned in comments provided.

Most metalcasters said they try to use as many resources as possible to make the right purchasing decision. In follow- up responses, they showed particular affi nity for referrals and suppliers with which they’ve had prior success.
