In terms of free applications, the Logos Quiz Gamefrom ATICOD sees a third week at the top of the iPad and iPhone charts, while word- of-mouth has helped propel the addictive DEFIANT DEVELOPMENT’s Ski Safari to No.1 in the paid-for iPad charts.


On console, the XBLA Arcade Next promotion came to an end last week with the highly anticipated release of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition. The MOJANG and 4J-developed building game sold one million units in just five days of going on sale, with the game's creator Marcus Persson declaring the game profitable within an hour. It has now beaten Trials Evolutionas the fastest selling Xbox Live Arcade game in history.

Price really is a driving factor amongst the Steam community. The first person puzzler – which is now over a year old – even managed to beat the latest content pack from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The DLC from ACTIVISION is new this week and debuts in second place.
