FOOTBALL CAME HOME Creative agency SJS London held a five-a-side football tournament last month to raise money for GamesAid. Companies from all over the industry entered teams, including EA, Capcom, Moshi Monsters creators Mind Candy, AskMen/IGN and FanCensus. The tournament was held at
Wembley’s Powerleague pitches and raised more than £1,500 for the games industry charity. Research firm Generation Media took home the trophy, beating SJS in the final.
SJS is now preparing its next fundraiser: Girls in Games with Guns. The event will invite the ladies of the games industry to compete at clay shooting in Surrey.
A RALLY GOOD TRIP Developer Milestone held a preview event in Lisbon last month, inviting the games media to check out its upcoming racer World Rally Championship 3. After a presentation of the game by sales and marketing boss Luisa Bixio (right), attendees were treated to a glimpse at how the professionals race in the Rally de Portugal. Lucky devils.
