White Room Games MD Luiz Ferreira gives us the lowdown on the distribution and business dev firm
What services do White Room Games provide? We offer a wide range of services that can be split into three distinct areas. These include software and
accessories distribution, mobile app development and business development services for games studios. And we are also sales agents for publisher Licensed 4U.
What are your biggest challenges?
The state of the economy is no secret, so that is a huge short- term challenge to overcome. Further down the line we have to be mindful of the shift towards digital and make sure we are in a position to still offer something that retailers want.
What are your key achievements? Growth. We have done this by launching three accessory ranges in the UK – the Duracell, Brooklyn and Subsonic PS Vita ranges. We have also had great success internationally with the PurpleHills DS range.
What is your five-year business plan?
Without question it’s to develop our core business and ensure that we remain relevant and competitive in all we do.
Tell us a secret about White Room Games…
In 2010 we launched our first iPhone Game, Volley Soccer, on a shoe-string budget. It was on such a budget, I ended up doing the in-game commentary. Put it this way – John Motson is not worried about his job.
