The conference for casting buyers and designers returns with education sessions and a packed exhibit floor.

ast in North America, a confer- ence and exhibition for cast- ing buyers and designers, will be held for its third year April 17-20 as part of the American Foundry Society’s (AFS) Metal- casting Congress. Te show, which will be held in Columbus, Ohio, will feature technical sessions and an exhibit


space where casting customers can meet with potential and cur- rent suppliers capable of various casting alloys and processes. Te winners of the 2012 Casting of the Year competition, held by AFS and Metal Casting Design & Purchasing, will be un-


veiled on the exhibit floor and recognized at the AFS President’s Luncheon and Annual Business meeting on April 20. Attendees can mingle with each other and exhibitors at


several social events, including the welcome reception on April 17 and the annual banquet on April 18. Metal Casting Design & Purchasing will be covering the


conference daily via www.metalcastingdesign.com and vari- ous social media outlets, including Facebook and Twitter (@ Metal_Castings). Metalcasting Congress is the North American metalcasting


industry’s largest event, featuring technical sessions, seminars, workshops and vendor booths. Te fair will be held at the Hyatt Columbus and Battelle Hall, in the center of the city’s down- town area.
