Application: Housing for Zetec repair and inspection robot.


Casting Supplier: Precise Cast, Commerce City, Colo. Customer Name: Zetec Corp., Snoqualmie, Wash.


• T e component is 3.6 lbs. and 14 x 6.75 x 7.75 in.


• T e robot depends on the body and leg castings (also cast by Precise) to move smoothly to inspect and repair tubing on a steam generator.


• Many versions of the casting were produced and tested before the project was complete.


• Aluminum was chosen for the casting for its biochemical compatibility properties.
