Newscast Reliance Foundry Co. Ltd.,


Surrey, B.C., Canada, has been selected to supply the cast ductile iron bollards that will protect the pedestrian pathway in the newly renovated Calgary Central Memorial Park. Bollards are rigid posts used by municipalities to ensure perimeter security, control and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic, or add architectural appeal. The Reliance bollards are part of a recent $11.5 million revitalization project for the Calgary Central Memorial Park.

issue, you state the bullets shown were made of cast iron (“Would the Shot Have Been Heard ‘Round the World?”). Actually “balls” for both muskets and rifl es, during the Revolutionary War, were cast from pure lead. T ey did not have bullet shapes but were round balls. Cannon balls were cast from iron.
