How good is good?
Good is good. But good can become even better, as we demonstrate in Cargill’s
Sustainable Cocoa Program. The Program’s approach aims to contribute to a better life for cocoa farmers and their communities,
address consumer concerns and secure the future of sustainable cocoa.
The Program is built on over 10 years of Cargill’s active involvement in the future of cocoa. Our proven high standards ensure quality in every respect and will impact on a scale to truly
make a difference. We have joined forces with professional partners in cocoa-originating countries with these goals in mind.
Indeed, many farmers have already booked
positive results with a marked increase in their revenues and the ability to invest in their crops and communities. Since farmer training has
proven to be vital for sustainable success, our aim is to train another 60,000 farmers this year, with commitments to expand even further in the years to come.
What’s more, we are convinced that by
connecting our customers to the Program and our well-established global sourcing network, we can
take a major step forward and embed sustainable practices in the world of cocoa even further. The result: certifi ed sustainable high quality cocoa and chocolate products.
