The 18-month scheme will take place

month at Network Rail and the other two at another company or operator within the rail industry. The paid internship is being fund- ed by Network Rail and seeks to help recruit young people into rail.

Typical roles will be in network operations, station and train teams, customer service, sales and

marketing, route strategy,

asset management and project management. There will not be roles in corporate functions such as finance, IT or engineering, where the industry has bespoke graduate place.
