Product Support Materials. In his new position, Mayse is responsible for enterprise planning, distribution, asset control and warehousing for Gulfstream Product Support parts and inventory. Worldwide, Gulfstream has more than $1.2 billion worth of parts and materials available through 16 distribution centers. Mayse has been a Gulfstream employee since 1988. Before taking on his most recent role, he was senior manager, Planning and Distribution for Product Support Materials, for three years. He started his Gulfstream career as a parts fabricator in Oklahoma City, Okla. Mayse is a summa cum laude graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he majored in technical management.


Elliott Adds Mike Fetcko as Avionics Manager Fetcko brings nearly 20 years of avionics experience to Elliott Aviation beginning with his tour of duty in the U. S. Navy in 1994 as an avionics technician working on F18s. His civilian career started in 1998 with Duncan Aviation where he was an avionics installation technician and systems engineer. Following his term with Duncan, Fetcko worked as a systems design engineer with Great Lakes Aviation and as a private contractor. “Mike has a very strong background in all aspects of avionics,” said Rich Baeder, VP and general manager for Elliott Aviation’s Moline headquarters. “His technical, managerial and leadership experience will further enhance our position as being an industry leader in avionics modifications and installations.” Fetcko will be located at Elliott Aviation headquarters in Moline, IL.


Dassault Falcon Appoints Antoine Ajarrista GM Little Rock Completion Center


Dassault Falcon has promoted Antoine Ajarrista to senior vice president and general manager of its Little Rock Completion Center in Arkansas. The appointment became effective January 1st


when he replaced Frederic Lherm who was named senior vice president of Industrial Operations for Dassault Aviation in Saint- Cloud, France. As general manager, Ajarrista will oversee all day-to-day operations of Dassault largest facility, which is responsible for the completion of nearly all Falcon aircraft. For the past three and a half years, he has served as senior vice president of


A Falcon maintenance technician training program which blends CAE simulation- based theoretical instruction with the option for practical aircraft experience at Dassault’s factory just completed its second year in Bordeaux, France. The EASA-approved four-to-five-week B1/B2 training program began in January 2010 and has trained more than 200 Falcon 7X, Falcon 900EX EASy and Falcon 2000EX EASy technicians from around the world for Falcon operators, the Dassault front-line Customer Service Team and MRO facilities.


In addition to instructors with more than 25 years average experience, the theoretical program features CAE Simfinity simulation- based multi-screen classrooms, 360-degree virtual tours of the cockpit, aircraft cabin and service bays, a CAE Simfinity Integrated Procedures Trainer, and visits to the Dassault factory to visualize aircraft during early production stages and near final certification, timed to coordinate with the CAE training schedule, Dassault Aviation also offers a two-week follow-on EASA- approved practical training course leading to a type-rating maintenance certification. CAE say it has passed the rigorous


requirements of Dassault’s Falcon Training Policy Manual (FTPM) quality system audit.


Sam Brownback, Kansas Governor, and Steve Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft have announced the details of the further expansion of Bombardier’s Learjet site in Wichita. The growth includes the expansion of the Bombardier Flight Test Center, the establishment of a Bombardier Center of Excellence of Engineering and Information Technology, new facilities for paint and production flight test as well as a new delivery center. The expansion will also help create 450 new jobs. “This is great news and indicates the


strength of our relationship with the State of Kansas,” said Steve Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Learjet has a rich and solid history in Kansas. We are committed to ensuring that it continues to grow and prosper along with new programs such as the Learjet 85 aircraft.” The expansion is being supported by an incentive offer worth $16 million in financial support from the State of Kansas, which will be added to the $600 million investment Bombardier is currently making to develop the Learjet 85 and to expand Learjet’s Wichita facility. “Our workforce, supplier base, infrastructure, research and development and training assets are second to none. We value the strong commitment of Bombardier to Kansas and treasure this long-term, mutually beneficial relationship,” said Governor Brownback.


ExecuJet Europe and Shell Aviation Launch New Frankfurt FBO facility


ExecuJet and Shell Aviation have opened a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility in Frankfurt. Business officially commenced on December 1, 2011, taking the total number of ExecuJet FBOs in Europe to ten (Zurich, Berlin, Cambridge, Paris in partnership with Advanced Air Support, Barcelona, Palma, Gerona, Valencia, Ibiza). This also marked the entry of Shell on the general aviation (GA) Apron in Frankfurt, and is the second such collaboration between ExecuJet and Shell in Germany.


The Frankfurt FBO boasts a centrally located customer lounge situated adjacent to the entrance to the general aviation terminal,
