the mission of Community Memorial Hospital and Foundation for a minimum of three years with a demonstrated record of exceptional generosity through volunteerism and/or monetary giſt s. T ey also have signifi cantly improved the quality of life in our community, motivated others to provide philanthropic support and built community relationships.
T is year’s recipient was John Lorenz. John began coordinating the Zopen wiffl eball tournament in 2005 in memory of two of his friends’ dads who died of cancer. Since that time, he has raised more than $30,000 with this July event and has added more “angels,” as he calls them, to their cause.
