Faces of Poverty
More Latino children are living in poverty than any other racial or ethnic group in the country today, marking the first time in U.S. history that the majority was not white. Close to 37% (6.1 million) of children in poverty are Latino while only 30% are white. African Americans are close behind this number, making up 26% of the children in poverty in the U.S. For more information on how to serve these children in need, visit namb.net/hunger.
