EVANGELISM AND THE GOSPEL: FOUR LEADING BOOKS

Jesus + Nothing = Everything
(Crossway, 2011) by Tullian Tchividjian reminds readers that Christ alone saves, that God saves us without our help and that our favor with Him rests on nothing but Christ.

Evangelism
(Biblica, 2011) by J.D. Payne works in dialogue format to honestly ask and answer the most common questions about evangelism. Beginning with what is the gospel and bridging into our purpose in evangelism.

Note to Self
(Crossway Books, 2011) by Joe Thorn is a serious series of reflections that help us preach the gospel to ourselves before we proclaim it to others. Thorn reminds us that the gospel is for our salvation from God’s wrath and is His grace for our daily lives.

Gospel
(B&H Books, 2012) by J.D. Greear is basically just that. The gospel. Scripture is used for many things that aren’t really good news at all. Greear shows us how the gospel is good news for salvation and life.
