FRANCE COMES TO ARAB HEALTH 2012

Article provided by UBIFRANCE

T

here will be over a hundred French companies reasserting their interest in the near and Middle Eastern

health market as they join the French national pavilion led by UBIFRANCE – the French Agency for business development – at Arab Health and Medlab in Dubai from January 23rd

to 26th . Demand in the Middle East countries

remains very high in terms of health, thanks to government investments, to the liberalisation of the private sector, and to high demographic growth. This growth, coupled with a significant reliance on imports, is encouraging French companies to position themselves in this market. Accordingly, France is among the top five suppliers to the area. Confronted with increasing health and economic challenges, the French biotechnology and medical systems sector remains a world leader thanks to its unrelenting R&D and to a very close working relationship between industrialists and medico-surgical teams. The competitive clusters that have appeared over the past few years have fostered those synergies and given France the ability to maintain the kind of dynamism that ranks it among the top suppliers in the region. This year the French pavilion will be

hosting over thirty new participants, all demonstrating the new technologies that France has got on offer. The offer stands out through significant innovation, a wide diversity, and quality equipment. Several sectors of excellence will be present at Arab Health: in-vitro diagnosis, devices and equipment for cardiovascular surgery, orthopaedics, and much more. In recent

years, French companies have committed substantial investments to other sectors, like ultrasound, or have focused their development on telemedicine or home assistance and they will be showing highly innovative solutions in those fields at Arab Health 2012. Also, a dozen companies will be exhibiting at Medlab, where the focus is instrumentation and laboratory equipment. Gathered by UBIFRANCE, French

exhibitors can be seen in Zabeel Hall and Rashid Hall at the Dubai World Trade Centre. ■
