Its velvety texture is so alluring that we keep begging it to become fragrant as well. But, you can’t have everything. T e plant is large and spread- ing, covered in dark green, leathery foliage and has good resistance to all those maladies that attack roses.

Unlike many hybrid teas with their unattractive leggy habit, this plant has a bushy, fully clothed look and sports soft yellow fl owers splashed with pink. Its form is usually perfect with large fl owers. T e plant is vig- orous enough to usually have bloom and for a cut fl ower, it will hold well in a vase. Trophy hunters, grab this one quick. Flushes of fl owers are borne throughout the season, either singly or in sprays, with fragrance that var- ies from mild to strong spice. Beautiful and long-lasting in a vase, but beware of the army of thorns lining the stems. Compact plants show good disease resistance.
