There will be opportunity to stop here for a swim before continuing south to Ithaca.

While Ithaca is small and mountainous, it has some enchanting coves which make it a perfect island for cruising round. The landscape is fairly barren, but due to many of the villages and houses having ‘special historical interest’, larger modern buildings have been prohibited.

Tonight’s mooring will be in the attractive village of Kioni – a huddle of whitewashed houses around the head of a bay.

Day 5 Ithaca – Cephalonia

Cruising further south you come to Cephalonia, which is the largest of the Ionian islands. Notable for attracting celebrities such as Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, as well as setting the scene for Louis de Bernière’s novel ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’, this is a stopover not to be missed.

The island offers interesting contrasts – Roman, Venetian and Byzantine ruins alongside beautiful beaches.Highlights of Cephalonia include Fiskardho on the north-eastern tip. This picture postcard spot is also home to some of the Ionian Islands’ most noted boutique hotels.

Today you will have the opportunity to cruise along the coast of the island to explore its treasures. The island is adorned with many anchorages, so you will be able to relax in a sheltered location of your choice.

Later, your motoryacht will head into berth in Fiskardho. Enjoy a drink on the aft deck before heading out to one of the local, recommended restaurants.

Day 6 Cephalonia – Lefkas

Today’s itinerary will take you back to Lefkas. En route, you will be able to explore the neighbouring islet of Meganisi – home to a plethora of stunning coves. Anchor here for lunch and some water sports.

The afternoon’s cruise will take you into Lefkas town, which is north of Nidri on the eastern coast of the island. This is another lively town and makes for a contrast to the previous night’s stopover.

Day 7 Lefkas – Corfu

Today, you will make your way back to Corfu. En route, stop off at the small, idyllic bay of Mongonisi at the south-eastern end of Paxos. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and a swim in these fabulous waters.

From here, sit back and relish the scenery while you cruise back to Gouvia marina in Corfu. Enjoy your last evening on board your Sunseeker motoryacht – eat on board under the stars or venture to one of the restaurants within walking distance of the marina.

Day 8 (until 12 noon) Corfu

This morning you have the option of making the most of your Sunseeker motoryacht and heading out one final time for a short cruise around the Gouvia area, perhaps anchoring for a swim in one of the nearby bays before boarding your plane for your homeward journey.
