Let’s start afresh and make 2012 work


here is nothing in business as sweet as a good idea whose time has come. In our “What to sell in 2012” guide on pages 43 to 63 this month, we have compiled a list of things that you might like to consider as the New Year begins. Keep an open mind and keep a keen eye out for new ways to make money. It could be an exciting fresh start for you and your business. And here at OPP, we are equally excited about our fresh start for 2012. We think that our new OPP Connect service is defi nitely one of those good ideas whose time has come. What is it all about? OPP Connect is a brand new members’ club that will help you get connected with every part of the overseas property business around the world. We want to help you, as an overseas property professional, change the way in which you do business. Members will be allowed to offer each other products and services and then, in turn, other members will be allowed rate these offerings on a scale of 1 to 5. We are convinced that members will be able to quickly recoup their annual membership fees too, if they take up the discounted offers and

new services that OPP Connect will bring. We are also determined to help the industry improve its networking skills. OPP Connect has been created for you, its members and we hope that it will soon take a life of its own as its members make it their business home. We will be promoting the service heavily from now on in our magazines, websites and newsletters. I hope you decide to take part. We are also looking forward to boosting our presence in China this year too with a bigger and better OPP China, written in Mandarin by our new OPP China editor, Hilary Li, who has joined the group at our offi ces in Beijing.
