Barnyard Buddies — No increase in camp price for 2012!


This camp offers youngsters the opportunity to use their imaginations and creativity in a unique setting. We will learn about farm lifestyles as we get acquainted with the “personalities” of farm animals then use that information to write a play with a farm theme. Each day kids will start out by doing farm chores and activities and then work on their play. Campers will make their own costumes and scenery, and put it all together for an end-of camp production. Note: Attendance at both weeks of camp is required for a successful camp experience. Fee will not be prorated for one week attendance. WHERE: Wagner Farm, 1510 Wagner Rd. WHO: grades 1-5

Little Acorns —


Little Acorns is a wonderful program for young children who love to explore the interesting world of nature! The Grove is the ideal place for your little naturalist to learn all about birds, insects, mammals, trees, flowers and more. We’ll visit with turtles, take hikes in the woods, and discover animal tracks in the dirt. Staff will present a different theme each week. Staff/ child ratio is 1:7. No increase in camp price for 2012! Step back in time and spend the summer experiencing life on a 1920’s farm! Campers will perform daily chores and learn specialized skills. We’ll tend the farm’s livestock, cook over a wood burning stove and learn period games and crafts. Every Friday campers will go on a farm-related field trip (except for Friday July 6 and July 20). Swimming Option After you’ve spent the morning doing chores, why not take a dip over at the pool? Campers join the kids from the Glenview Tennis Club and the Glenview Golf Club and spend the afternoon swimming at Flick Pool. Each child must bring a lunch to eat beforehand. On days when the pool is closed or closes while campers are there, campers will hop back on the bus and will be dropped off at the Glenview Tennis Club for indoor activities. (D) •Drop off at Wagner Farm. Pick up at the Glenview Tennis Club, 1800 Wagner Road. •All campers undergo a swim proficiency evaluation to ensure their safety. •Before & After Camp Care is available on Monday and Wednesday.
