Campers Choice Descriptions —
Mad Science (offered ESS & LSS, M/W and Tu/Th) Campers love this hands-on scientific camp taught by Mad Science of Northern Illinois. A different theme will be explored each week.
Spanish (offered LSS Tu/Th) Hola! Learn a new language this summer. Discover basic Spanish language and learn how to say your favorite words in a new tongue.
Flag Football (offered ESS, M/W) Maximize your football skills through the techniques of throwing, punting, tactics, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Tae Kwon Do (offered LSS, M/W) Learn the basic moves while improving your Tae Kwon Do coordination, agility, strength, and poise.
Soccer (offered LSS, M/W)
Challenging soccer skill building activities and fun scrimmages are appropriate for even the youngest camper.
Hula Hoop (offered LSS, Tu/Th) Swing your hips round and round as you learn all the ins and outs of the hula hoop! We will spend time learning cool tricks and keeping the hoop from touching the ground!
Hip Hop Dance (offered ESS, M/W) Learn the latest dances and basic steps to the hottest music around.
Sports of all Sorts (offered LSS, Tu/Th) Do you like football, hockey, soccer and basketball? Combine them all and you get sports of all sorts! Participate in drills and games.
Floor Hockey (offered ESS, Tu/Th) Face-off, dribble, center and pass the puck in the high-energy sport of floor hockey. Learn to play all positions in skill building games and drills.
World of Art (offered ESS, Tu/Th) Work with pastels learning shading and color blending. Create 3D art and “go green” with recyclables. Wear an old t-shirt / art smock to class.
Amazing Minds (offered ESS, M/W and Tu/Th and LSS, M/W) An exciting program of exploration for those who love to learn! Sample activities might include becoming a junior geologist, learning about famous landmarks or excavating hidden treasures from an ancient Egyptian tomb, or trying ethnic cuisine from China or Italy.
Robotic Adventures (offered ESS and LSS, M/W and Tu/Th) Using the LEGOTM
WeDo Robotics System, we’ll work in teams to
build and program our own robotic creations. Learn about simple machines, engineering, programming and so much more!
