Summer Camps


Illinois Baseball Academy (IBA) is back for a 6th summer of outstanding baseball programs under the direction of IBA President Chris Beacom, a former professional baseball player and captain of the Northwestern University team. All instructors are trained in the IBA methodology of teaching/coaching baseball.


Mini-Majors Baseball Camp —


In addition to learning baseball fundamentals and playing daily games, boys and girls will spend time everyday learning valuable life-skills (sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, etc.) because Illinois IBA is committed to helping children grow as baseball players and as people. The Complete Baseball Player:


Pinto Summer Program — For the Pinto player who loves baseball! We’ll work on defensive drills and the finer points of hitting. Players will learn team defense (cut-offs & relays, rundowns, bunt defense) and situational strategies via discussions, demonstrations and drills. While the focus is on personal improvement, IBA is also committed to having fun through games, contests and other activities designed to foster enthusiasm, encourage teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. Wrap up your summer with baseball fun! Sign up for one or two weeks of IBA’s Extra Innings Summer Camp. Players will improve their skills by revisiting fundamentals with new and challenging drills. Jr. Titan Lacrosse is a north shore based program coached by Glenbrook South boys varsity head coach Steven Brooks, and affiliated with Team ONE Lacrosse. The focus will be on fundamental aspects of lacrosse, as fundamentals are the key to becoming a great lacrosse player. Instruction will also be position specific, with a focus on skills that can be used in game situations. (D) WHERE: Springman School, 2701 Central Rd. IGLA Girls Lacrosse Summer Camps —


Learn the fundamentals and advanced skills of one of the fastest growing girls sports in the U.S.! Girls Lacrosse combines the skills of basketball, soccer and hockey into a high endurance test of strength and agility. Taught coaches and players with high school, collegiate, and post collegiate experience, IGLA Lacrosse Camp will blow your flip flops away!


BEGINNERS: Campers learn the fundamental skills in a fun, fast-paced, and dynamic environment with drills and games. There is also opportunity for more advanced skill development such as offensive and defensive positioning and simulated game play.


BEG/END FEE (R/NR) $180/$198


EXPERIENCED: Coaches work with the experienced player to fine tune skills, correct positioning, and teach advanced techniques for improving her game. With small group instruction, there will be much opportunity for one-on-one personal expertise sharing. Experienced players will engage in game play with instruction--all in a fast paced and dynamic environment.


Goggles, sticks and mouth guards are required equipment. Sticks and goggles are available to borrow at no charge for new players. Returning players must have their own stick and goggles. Stick and goggle packages, as well as mouth guards are available for purchase at the first day of camp.
