Te battle of Lexington and Concord was the first armed conflict of the American Revolutionary War. While the tension had been building for some time, it wasn’t until the first bullet was fired, known as the “shot heard ‘round the world,” that the Revolu- tionary War began. At the time, such bul- lets were produced using cast iron. Without castings, would the United States of America have won its independence?
