FRANKS ICE CREAM SELECTS OPERA 3
Franks Ice Cream, a provider of branded and own-label premium ice cream, has implemented Opera 3 with Pegasus XRL Reporting from Pegasus Software. With customers including Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Holland & Barrett and Waitrose, Franks Ice Cream will use the solution for all of its fi nancial management and payroll needs as well as to produce its monthly management accounts. With a rapidly growing customer base and ambitious growth plans, Franks Ice Cream

The reports created can be saved for future use and can be refreshed to access live data. “Having used software from Pegasus for many years, we still believe that it is the very best solution on the market for SMEs,” commented Renaldo Dallavalle, Franks Ice Cream commercial director. “Opera 3 is fully integrated, easy to use and enables us to produce our monthly management accounts quickly and easily. As our business expands, it is integral that we have an accounting system that we can rely on 100% so that we can focus on growing the business and increasing our profi tability.” Working with Pegasus partner Gower Business Systems, the company went live with
Opera 3 in June 2011.
COOK BEEFS UP STORE COMMUNICATIONS
Cook prepares its own frozen meals and sells them through a network of over 50 retail stores and franchises. It is implementing Retail Answers’ RAPID store management system to signifi cantly improve business processes and communication between the stores, the franchisees, central operations and its kitchens.
The benefi ts include the availability of all documentation for health and safety, a secure messaging system, compliance monitoring in stores, the collection of data from stores using online forms and enhanced visibility of store operations across the entire company. Crucially, Cook can see throughout the organisation who hasn’t responded and this management by exception is an effective way to control its growing estate. Mark Dennis, Cook operations
director, said: “We chose RAPID due to its ability to drive actions in stores, the power of the forms designer to create our own forms, the strengths of document searching and the simplicity of its user interface. It will signifi cantly improve business processes by making key information available at the right time throughout the organisation.”
