“Across Europe in countries such as Holland and Germany, there are stores which only specialise in children’s outdoor clothing. In this respect, the UK market is still someway behind and shows the potential there is to be had in children’s outdoor clothing” says Torstensson. As well as the UK market, Kozi Kidz are continuing to grow their brand on an international level. Currently established in 23 countries which has recently included China, attempts are being made to expand their portfolio into other countries to make themselves a truly global brand. The ISPO Munich 2012 trade shows provides an ideal opportunity to do just that. “ISPO will be very important for us as we attempt to


grow our brand. We are looking at securing distributors and agents in countries such as Holland, France, Germany and Poland so that we can take Kozi Kidz into a truly international market.”


Among the products that will be showcased at ISPO include fun prints on rainwear. For boys there is the bright, primary coloured fun Car design and for girls there is the Tulip design. Both are likely to be popular with parents and children alike as they differ from the traditional reds and blues associated with outdoor wear for children.


“We are looking forward to exhibiting at ISPO once again and welcome new agents from all markets” says Torstensson. “We are looking to build on our initial success in the German market and strengthen our customer base in this country.”


Moving forward into 2012, Kozi Kidz are determined to grow but continue to provide quality products and customer service. Due to the importance of exercise to a healthy lifestyle, children are being encouraged to play outdoors as much as possible.


A staggering 1 in 6 children are declared obese before they start school so the amount of exercise children undertake needs to be addressed. With the practical and fun nature of the Kozi Kidz range, retailers looking to maximise sales should look at the collection as a potential way of generating business as well as helping improve the health of our
