for the outdoor market but maybe a useful product for retailers as the product can also be used in the world of business to keep in contact with clients and customers. At present, anyone planning to
explore the countryside or working in the field needs to carry separate devices for navigation and communication. In addition, smartphones are generally too fragile to withstand harsh conditions. Takwak now believe this is a thing of the past with the tw700. The navigation device is also able to navigate on- and off-road routes and provide communication even when out of range of a telephone network. To maintain contact en route with colleagues, friends or family back
home, the tw700 incorporates an Android-based smartphone that enables travellers to check e-mails, add their outdoor experiences live to social networks and use other Internet services. An extensive range of apps are available, some pre-installed on the tw700 and others downloadable. The tw700 is rounded off by an integrated 5-megapixel camera for crystal-clear pictures. The takwak tw 700 will be available in Germany from spring 2012
from certified takwak specialist retailers only, The device will be launched on the UK market from summer 2012.
