ENERGY EFFICIENCY Tip of the Month


During the holiday season, consider using ENERGY STAR-qualified lights and strands to decorate. They use 70 percent less energy than regular lights and last up to 10 times as long. They also give off less heat, reducing the risk of fire.

Enter ornament in CEC contest Deadline for entries is December 13, 2011


Ornament Contest invites students from pre-K through 6th grade to enter an ornament made strictly from non-perishable, recyclable materials.

Ornaments should be the proper size to hang on a Christmas tree.


Entries should be delivered to Choctaw Electric offices in Hugo, Antlers or Idabel by December 13, 2011.


Every entry should include a sheet of paper with the name of the contestant, age division, address and

Ornaments will be judged and prizes awarded to the first place winner in each age division on December 15.


The winner from each age group will receive a $10 gift card. Photos of winning ornaments will also be published in CEC Inside Your Co-op.


Entries may be picked up at the Choctaw Electric office on December 16.
