urkey has had one of the fastest-changing air freight markets in Europe in recent times and no player in its logistics industry portrays this more clearly than its rapidly growing flag- carrier.
Turkish Cargo vice president sales and
marketing Halit Anlatan says that the airline’s expansion plan has several strands, which taken together have the objective of seeing it move 380,000 tons of freight by the end of this year. “With the addition of a new A330-200 freighter to our fleet, we are on the verge of expanding and achieving better results. We had already opened a few routes and more are planned to open in our winter 2011 cargo schedule,” he remarked. Turkish Airlines’ bellyhold cargo capacity
has also increased significantly since its investment in new widebody aircraft,
