NAWP Connect 2011: Lessons Learned
Sonny Ganguly ,Chief Marketing Officer of WeddingWire- shared technology trends with NAWP connect attendees. The biggest trend: accessing internet content via mobile devices.
“By 2014, internet access via mobile devices will surpass access via PC’s.” Sonny told attendees that we better get ready and had everyone pledge to make sure their website was Mobile ready this year. WeddingWire offers a mobile ready option for free.
Sonny stressed 5 key points when going mobile:
1) Provide Relevant Features only—not everything that is on your website has to be available via mobile access.
2) Make it simple—streamline menus, eliminate flash, reduce graphics.
3) Think SMALL. 4) Only go vertical—vertical scrolling.
5) Maintain Consistency between mobile version and your website.
