Overview: CAP is based on the 3-D finite element method. Its auto- matic CAP Smart Mesh Generator creates casting geometry with fine ele- ments and modeled mold components with coarse elements. Smart Mesh technology minimizes the computer resources necessary to simulate real world processes. Te same mesh can be used with all CAP components.
