Exhibition preview Sensing Technology 2011

Technology ranging from inspection and measurement equipment to condition monitoring, flow and level solutions, and data acquisition products, will be highlighted at Sensing Technology 2011. Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 27-28th September, the event will also feature a comprehensive seminar programme…

E

xhibitions remain one of the best ways in which to not only see the latest products, but to talk to staff about their features, technology and application issues. When Sensing Technology was launched in September 2010 it became the UK’s only national event dedicated to sensors and sensing technology. This year, there will be an extensive range of technologies on show, cover- ing areas from inspection and measure- ment to condition monitoring, flow and level, calibration, and data acquisi- tion. To further enhance your visit, there will be an Innovation Theatre

and two seminar suites. Session titles this year will include: Innovations in gas sensing; Innovations in fibre-optic sensing systems and technologies; Innovations in wireless sensing sys- tems and technologies; and Academic outreach in sensor systems. See www.sensingtechnology.co.uk for the latest seminar information as it becomes available.

The NEC will also be the venue for a number of other exhibitions running alongside Sensing Technology, includ- ing Interplas, MM Live UK, MEMS Live UK 2011, NANO Live UK 2011, tct Live 2011, and PPMA Show 2011.

Sensing Technology 2011 will provide visitors with the ideal opportuity to see the latest technology and products on show and discuss their requirements with industry experts

UK trade association BMTA (British Measurement & Testing Association), the UK trade association for laboratory-based organisations, will be taking a stand at Sensing Technology. Most of its 95 member companies operate UKAS accredited laboratories and overall the associa- tion represents the interests of around 300 accredited laboratories.
