for All Saints, Weston, PCC


Expressions of interest are invited from contractors with suitable experience to undertake the following repairs to this grade 1 listed church: new lead roofing to the Nave, Chancel, North and South Aisles with associated stone work repairs to the parapets.


Contractors expressing interest will be asked to complete a prequalification questionnaire and, following assessment of the PQQs, formal tenders will be requested from a short list of no more than five contractors. Contractors will be required to demonstrate they can provide the required craft and management skills as well as being able to work with due care for the building fabric. Contractors must be registered with the Construction Industry Training Board. The following will apply:

The works are being grant aided by English Heritage/Lottery Fund under the joint scheme for historic places of worship. The net value of the works contract will be in the range £100,000-150,000.


NOTICE TO TENDER TENDER FOR CONSERVATION WORKS


CHURCH OF SAINT MARY COWLEY, GLOUCESTERSHIRE


Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified conservation contractors for the repairs at the above church. The scope of work includes stripping and relaying the cotswold stone tiles from the nave and chancel roofs, new rainwater goods and stone repairs including new carved stonework.


The client is the Parochial Church Council of Saint Mary’s Cowley. The works are being grant aided by English Heritage.


Contractors expressing an interest will be expected to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire from which a shortlist of preferred contractors will be drawn.


The works are intended to commence in Spring 2012, so invitations to tender will be sent out in March 2012.
