NOTICE TO TENDER
TENDER FOR CONSERVATION WORKS CHURCH OF
SAINT MICHAEL & ALL ANGELS APPLEBY MAGNA, LEICESTERSHIRE
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified conservation contractors for conservation and repair works to this Grade II* Listed church. Works will include extensive repairs to the Spire and Tower masonry and rainwater disposal system and repairs to roofs elsewhere.
The client is the Parochial Church Council of Saint Michael and All Angels, Appleby Magna. The works are being financially supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund grant scheme for Historic Places of Worship, administered by English Heritage.
Contractors expressing interest will be required to complete and submit a pre-qualification questionnaire. A selection process, based on evidence of appropriate conservation experience and management capability, will be used to produce a list of no more than 6 contractors who will then be invited to submit formal tenders. Contractors must be registered with the Construction Industry Training Board.
It is anticipated that tender documents would be issued in October 2011 and site works will commence in Spring 2012. Apply no later than 30th September 2011. No liability or costs will be accepted for work involved in making any submissions and no guarantee is given that any contract will be offered.
