Terminations withstand sulphur TT electronics has increased its sulphur resistant range with chip resistors and resistor arrays for use in applications such as road side systems, telecommunications equipment, industrial control, automotive and manufacturing processes where sulphur bearing gases can cause corrosion. BCN and ASC series thick filmchip resistors feature special terminations qualified in accordance with ASTM international standard B809-95(2008).

Power supplymanufacturer, Pulse Electronics, has invested in newpremiseswith a total of 27,000ft² of floor space. Supporting its focus on aerospace, defence, automotive and other specialist sectors, the sitewill be used for engineering, assembly and test in relation to its full-custom, semi-customand standard rack-mount supplies.
The increased space also provides roomfor
an anechoic chamber for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing at a later date, whichwill complement the environmental qualification testing already conducted on site.
Guidemakes optical selection easy
Pulse Electronics’managing director, Chris
Austin, said: “To date,we’ve always rented office and production areas, butwith some contracts extendingwell beyond 2018, and plans for expansion, the timing seems perfect.
“Adding an EMC testing facilitymeans Pulse
would be able to conduct quick ‘what-if’ EMC analyses as part of our product development cycles and ahead of formal certification tests. Plus, it’s a servicewe could offer to others developing electronic products.”

Look for a distributor with power
Dawin Electronics' CEO, Jeng-Su Kim, appreciates Arrow's power-management experience
Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) is offering a free guide for engineers looking to build galvanic isolation and noise protection into their designs using photocoupler-based technology.
The new 80-page photocouplers and
photorelays product guide is expected to speed the identification, comparison and selection of photocouplers such as high- speed photo-IC couplers, phototransistor couplers, phototriac couplers, photovoltaic couplers and photorelays.
As well as technical data for each
product, the new guide incorporates a ‘product tree’ that allows engineers to quickly narrow down their choice to a few key components. A new product section introduces the latest additions to the range, while information on topics ranging from packaging to board assembly, helps to further simplify implementation.
Products in the portfolio include ultra-
compact and high-temperature options covering photocouplers for logic signal transmission, products for driving gates of mosfets and IGBTs, and photorelays that can replace conventional mechanical relays.
