Themost obvious change visitors to the site will notice is the clean page design and improved functionality. This includes a search facility, which returns faster, more accurate results and provides users with enhanced options when searching for products. For example, results can now be filtered and sorted by price, as well as by keyword relevancy, category and brand.

Other new features include amore intuitive, information-rich shopping basket and parametric searching rolled out across the website. This facility, which allows users to narrow their product search by individual attribute and granular detail, was previously available for capacitors, resistors and LEDs, and will now include the whole of the electronic components, cables and connectors, electrical and power product groups.

Web account customers are

able to access their last three months of invoices online, as well as track their orders. Services previously available online are alsomuch easier to access through the new Rapid website, such as creating personalised order codes, selecting favourite products, placing schedule and forward orders and requesting quotations. There is also improved navigation, higher resolution product images and the opportunity for users to ask the company’s technical team direct questions about products.
