Can stand the heat, but try these finishes out of the kitchen! www.timberdisplays.co.uk

T

his season’s new worktop colours from Granite Transformations ring the décor changes with metallic notes, a cool misty green, soft earthen tones, even star-spangled midnight black. But, say the makers, these finishes are too beautiful to confine them to the kitchen. Practical as they are for withstanding the heat and hard knocks of the kitchen, their classy looks, diamond shine and hardwearing properties make these finishes equally suited to other rooms of the house, office, hotel or leisure venue.

As Sarah Beeny demonstrated so elegantly at her Rise Hall restoration, large slimline Granite Transformations agglomerate panels make for superb seamless interior finishes in bathrooms, showers, vanity units and en suite facilities. With more than sixty colours and finishes to choose from, there’s something to suit most interior palettes, while the ¼” thick profile means they will bond readily to bathroom tiles and other surfaces, just as they fit snugly over existing kitchen worktops.

The material’s considerable practicality and wipe-clean simplicity also recommends itself for workstations, reception desks, office storage, shelving units and custom-made boardroom tables, its inherent low weight and flexibility making it perfect for smart and functional designs. Add in agglomerate’s non-porous properties and resistance to stains, spills and cigarette burns and it’s also a perfect countertop for cocktail and licensed bars.

Granite Transformations’ surfaces thrive outside too, as non-slip pool walkways, rainproof barbecue grill surrounds or elegant external wall facades. They’ve even featured on medal-winning Chelsea stands and roof gardens, underlining their outdoor living credentials. Horse boxes, narrow boats, superyachts, recreational vehicles, elevator interiors and student rooms are other imaginative applications.

There’s also an agreeable ‘green’ angle. Granite Transformations agglomerates use only half as much raw material as other engineered finishes and, because they can be fitted over most existing surfaces, there’s less demolition, debris and builder’s waste going to landfill. Besides, they are mostly made from recycled and recovered material, including toughened glass surfaces made from used wine, beer and mineral water bottles. Just because Granite Transformations agglomerate surfaces can stand the heat, it doesn’t mean you cannot try them outside the kitchen sometimes. They are available exclusively from around 30 showrooms nationwide, which will also carry out the fitting and provide a lifetime material warranty.

Yeoman makes light work of leaves L

eading garden tools brand Yeoman, a Solus brand, is stepping up the promotion of its leaf collectors this Autumn as part of the Solus Autumn & Winter Price Fall Campaign.

Pre-loaded eye catching displays will be used to promote the Yeoman Long Handled Angled Leaf Collector - a lightweight tool with a scissor action and soft grip handles, designed to eliminate the need for bending. The display will also feature the Yeoman Hand Held Leaf Collector – which has large capacity scoops with ergonomic moulded-handles and wrist supports. Both products are ideal for the seasonal tasks of clearing leaves, grass trimmings and other debris. Each branded display stand will feature each of the two products and will clearly emphasise the key selling points. And, as both products form part of the Autumn & Winter Price Fall Campaign, there will be attractive offers for customers to take advantage of.

Robert Giles, Yeoman Brand Manager said, “Autumn is the time when are gardens are full of fallen leaves and debris, making these products the ideal choice for consumers needing a quick and easy solution to leaf and debris clearing. This year’s Autumn and Winter Price Fall Campaigns will also feature some other great seasonal products, including the Yeoman Megaleaf Rake and the Yeoman Bulb Planter.”

Time for a change S

olus and Outside-In designs announce a new partnership to supply Clocks to the Garden & DIY trade.

This autumn Solus will be launching a stunning new range of clocks and weatherstations under its well known Adorn brand. The range of clocks retailing between £9.99 and £49.99 will feature favourites from the existing Adorn and ‘Outside-In’ ranges as well as a selection of jointly developed exciting new lines. They will be available exclusively through the Solus sales team.

Outside-In MD Simon Grimes explained the reason behind the partnership: “This partnership enables OID to ensure loyal stockists continue to buy the innovative products we love to produce, but with the marketing, distribution and stockholding capacity of Solus – we are confident it will be a winning formula.”

“Outside-In will no longer offer garden clocks to the market in the sub £50.00 RRP”, explains Adorn Brand Manager Sally Chambers, “but retailers will be able to purchase the larger more expensive ‘Outside-In’ clocks as a special order which will be invoiced through Solus”

The new Adorn range features 39 different designs including both traditional and contemporary items. There will also be a number of great value promotions available from launch.
