Olympus has named Mr. Hidenao Tsuchiya as vice president and general manager


of the Scientific Equipment Group in the Americas. Mr.


Tsuchiya reports directly to Mr. Shin Nishigaki, president of the Life Science and Industrial Systems Group for Olympus Corporation in Japan. In this position, Mr. Tsuchiya replaces Mr. Osamu Joji, who has served as the group vice president and general manager for the last five years.
