The 74-passenger AquaLink II will operate at 25knots in California’s Long Beach area.

predecessor AquaLink, which was also built by Kvichak and which has been operated by Catalina and LBT in the Long Beach area since 2001. The fully-enclosed AquaLink II was designed by


Australian catamaran specialist Incat Crowther. The vessel features a length of 19.5m, a beam of 7.3m and a 1.4m draught and has the capacity to carry 2650litres of fuel. She is powered by a


pair of Cummins QSM 11 diesel engines, rated for 448.7kW at 2300rpm, coupled to ZF 360A marine gears, and her two-man crew will operate the catamaran at an approximate service speed of 25knots. A Northern Lights 30kW genset has been installed on the vessel to supply her onboard electric requirements and, in addition to her air-conditioned cabin, the vessel has been kitted out with a snack bar kiosk, complete with refrigerator, coffee brewing system, soft drink dispenser, sink and Corian bar top.
