RobertW. Swaim, Ph.D. combines over 40 years of practical international business experience with such firms as Mobil Oil, Occidental Petroleum and Xerox, with a distinguished record of teaching and graduate level research in the field of management and executive development. For 5 years prior to Drucker’s death he collaborated with him in developing Drucker’s over 65 years of contributions to management thinking into an EMBA and Executive Development Program for Chinese executives and managers that are now offered in China. In working together, he had numerous conversations where Drucker shared additional insight on a number of topics that he had previously not written about elsewhere and is included in his book. Dr. Swaim was a student, colleague, and personal friend of Peter Drucker for nearly 30 years and is uniquely qualified to share his views relative to Drucker’s work as well as some of his omissions, or what he has entitled, “Drucker Gaps” and how to close them. He now resides in Cape Canaveral, Florida when he is not presenting his own executive development programs in China where he lived for the past then years.
