www.verdantworks.com An industrial museum set in an old Victorian jute factory (where the material was once processed for use in everything from sacks to espadrille sandals), Verdant Works is ideally suited for meetings of up to 80 delegates for corporate entertaining, meetings and events. The Verdant Suite is a flexible space comprising 1000 square metres in total, plus there is also the auditorium for smaller presentations, available in the evenings; the Boardroom for small meetings; the Machine Hall as a reception space among historical artefacts from the industry; and the Social History Gallery for dinners and drinks receptions.

www.dundee.ac.uk Part of the University of Dundee, Dalhousie Building is a purpose-built teaching facility, perfect for events organisers who want technology at their fingertips. It contains four large lecture theatres, forty teaching and seminar rooms and several IT suites with a full range of presentation equipment. The light and airy building opened in July 2007 and was named ‘Best Commercial/ Public Building’ by the Dundee Institute of Architects in the same year. Its four lecture theatres range in capacity from 120 up to 196 delegates, while four
convenient breakout rooms accommodate between 60 and 20 people. All four state-of-the-art lecture theatres are networked to allow audio and visual access to almost 800 delegates, and videoconferencing facilities are also available on site.

www.dundeecity.gov.uk Baxter Park and its pavilion were a gift to the people of Dundee in 1863 from linen manufacturer Sir David Baxter. The Italianate building at the centre of the park has a spacious, glass-fronted room with impressive views over the park and River Tay. The space can be transformed into an evening setting for hosting a reception or gala dinner, and the venue provides the opportunity to choose outside catering, working in partnership with the Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau which provides a list of local caterers.

Dundee Airport is situated just five minutes from the city centre and offers flights to/from London City, Birmingham, Belfast and Jersey during the summer months. Dundee’s train station is on the East Coast line, with direct rail links to London (in six hours), Newcastle, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, as well as connections to Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
