LONDON'S Northumberland House has been completely restored and reopened to the public featuring two hotels – The Grand at Trafalgar Square and Club Quarters – plus two restaurants, meetings and events facilities, and a private members business club. The Victorian grade II listed building is adjacent to Trafalgar Square and dates back to 1887 when it was first opened as a hotel.


Following the restoration project,


the events facilities at 8 Northum- berland comprise a grand ballroom, four large banqueting spaces and over 20 small meeting rooms. The impressive ballroom is described by English Heritage as "the grandest example of a Victorian ballroom in existence today" and can host up to 1,000 guests for cocktail receptions or up to 450 for seated dinners.


Other event spaces include the


Old Billiard Room, the Annex, a Salon, the Library, the Victoria and Westminster rooms, and a series of smaller meeting rooms, all of which come with free wifi internet access. AV equipment is also available. Private dining can be arrange at Boyd's Restaurant and Bar, situated in the former Marble Hall, and Watatsumi, an ultra- modern Japanese restaurant.


SERVICED office operator Business Environment has launched a new meeting room, event space and video- conferencing company, called '&Meetings'. Wifi internet access, AV equipment, large TV screens and refreshments are included as part of the package.
