This fast-paced and interactive session will explore ways that school transportation personnel and their community partner agencies can help improve school bus safety, security and emergency preparedness while also improving school bus climate, culture and appropriate connections between staff and students.
“Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses”
7/23/11 — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7/24/11 — 8 a.m. to Noon Session Presenters: Charley Kennington, Sue Shutrump, Cheryl Wolf, Jean Zimmerman This two-part, eight-hour course addresses the unique issues of installing Child Safety Restraint Systems and utilizes the revised curriculum approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to teach the proper use and installation of CSRS on school buses. All of the requirements to participating in this course are completed on-site. Upon completion attendees will receive six Continuing Education Units from Safe Kids Worldwide.
