Introduced By Snap-on Snap-on, brand leader in diagnostic tools, software and information for the automotive market, has announced the release of the new 11.2 software download for its best selling ‘family’ of hand-held diagnostic tools which now includes full coverage of the manufacturer VOLVO and component test meter coverage of Mercedes. “Continued and committed software development ensures that Snap-on customers’ diagnostic tools remain consistently powerful and productive in the workplace,” says Mark Ost, UK Sales Director for Snap-on Diagnostics. “Our new 11.2 software download has significant new and profitable key features to help the workshop technician deal with the sophisticated technology used on today’s modern vehicles. The upgraded download also introduces new Guided Functional Tests – which make it quicker and easier to use – and parking sensors. “With each new software release we add exactly what our customers have asked for based on regular feedback and our applications development is without doubt the best in the business. Our 11.2 software has model year coverage up to 2009, and covers 91% of the vehicle parc. 24 of the major vehicle manufacturer specific software titles have been updated, resulting in over 3,000 vehicles being added. We now have full coverage of VOLVO and component test meter coverage of Mercedes. “The new 11.2 software download has added more than 13,000 PIDs and more than 26,000 new Trouble Shooter codes and descriptions. Over 1,700 new functional actuator and system tests have been added, as well as over 24,000 new vehicle systems, plus the latest technology in the market.
