A note from The Editor

The nature of advertising has made a huge shift in the last few years. Advertisers must now work across all channels and think in terms of formats to target the web as well as the printed word. With the growth of YouTube, the worlds largest video-sharing website, this has also become an important part of the forward thinking advertisers campaign. Here at ToolBUSINESS+HIRE Magazine we not only offer a high quality, highly regarded magazine to boost your company advertising campaign, but

have also updated our website to provide new opportunities for expansion into this global market. I hope you enjoyed our centrefold feature last month “A Tour Around Our Website”. If you missed it go to our website and read our online magazine. The May issue is on the archive page, www.toolbusiness.co.uk/index.php/magazine-archive. This will show you all the opportunities available including our video showcase.

This month Christine and Belinda attended the launch of the new C.K Magma range of premium storage and personal protection equipment (PPE). This range is set to take the fabric storage category to a whole new level, combining optimal functionality with creative style. A C.K Magma ‘Hit Squad” will be visiting major construction sites and trade counters in cities across the UK, Ireland, France and Germany, kicking off in September 2011. We would like to thank C.K for their excellent presentation and hospitality. See page 20 for this month’s tool review on some of the Magma range. This includes the new Builder’s Toolbelt Set as well as the Technician’s Case Plus. Also our latest Voice of the Industry article is written by C.K Tool’s M.D. Tom Meyerratken. Peter Brett has also written a Tool Review on Wera’s new Impaktor range of Screwdriver bits and visited a company in Bristol, PVR Direct Ltd. Features include Power Tool Innovations, Hire tools and Builders Trade Tools. Talk Shop this month is a fascinating insight into life on The Falklands Islands from one of our furthest flung readers!
