Tool storage is crucial on this case. The days of flinging your spanners and screwdrivers into a metal box with a handle on it are definitely on the way out. With specialized screwdrivers and spanners for specialized fixings, many of which are now quite expensive, it is important to keep the tools safe and accessible. The two side panels of the Technicians Case Plus open via double zips to fold flat on the floor. Each side of the case has a different arrangement for tool storage. On the one side, there are rows of loops for screwdrivers and such like, with a couple of pouches to hold meters and similar devices. On the other side are a range of bigger pouches and a zipped compartment for holding paperwork, and a graduated set of small pouches. There is also a small zipped pouch that could hold a phone, identity tags or something similar. Considering the super build quality, padded sides and technical sophistication of this case, it is surprisingly light when empty. Obviously its final weight would depend on what you put into it, but in my view, it would still be easy to carry and easy to access.
If I had been a sales rep when showing this case to some professionals (mostly electricians) I would have been able to sell it ten times over. It clearly got a very enthusiastic response. Most people commented on the design and build quality and were amazed at how “smart” it was. These days, when even small companies like their operatives to have a “corporate” look, it helps to have well-organized kit. The C.K Magma Range delivers on practicality and design in a big way – and I am just going to go upstairs and repack some of my kit in it.
