3. FLY TO USHUAIA / M EMBARK SHIP Fly south along the coast of Argentina to the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia, a frontier town located on the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago and the Beagle Channel, is also the only Argentine city that sits on the other side of the Andes. Get an overview of life at the end of the world on an afternoon sightseeing excursion that takes you up and down the hilltop streets that preside over this waterfront town and visit Tierra del Fuego National Park. Embark on your 10-night cruise to the Antarctic; the Captain and crew host an on-board briefing before dinner this evening. Meals BLD

4 - 5. M CROSSING THE DRAKE PASSAGE The Drake Passage extends from the tip of South America to the Antarctic’s Shetland Islands. Throughout the centuries, explorers and whalers sailed these waters in search of the land once known only as Tierra Australis Incognita. Our team of on-board naturalists will begin their fascinating presentations on Antarctica’s wildlife, history and geographical characteristics during the voyage, spotting seabirds or possibly whales. Excitement mounts as you approach the Antarctic Convergence, a moving zone where the cold Antarctic waters from the south meet the warmer currents from the north. Enjoy the ship’s new window-walled gym and pampering spa; curl up with a book; and engage in lively conversations with your Captain and crew during your two-day crossing. Meals BLD

6 - 10. M ARCTIC EXPLORATION

1. ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES Tour begins: 2:00 PM, Buenos Aires. A transfer is included upon arrival at the Buenos Aires’ (Ezeiza) Ministro Pistarini International Airport to the Hotel Caesar Park.
