program — how do they compete with other PEX plumbing providers? We compete by offering a 25 year warranty on Flair-it
‘PEXperts’ sell and service all types of PEX
plumbing components
1. Who is Flair-It? Flair-It is an international plumbing components
manufacturer located in Chile, South America. They have been producing high tech plastic fittings for more than 20 years, and distributing their unique plumbing systems worldwide. 2. How is Flair-It distributed in the U.S.? Flair-It is sold and marketed through three distribution
112
centers strategically located throughout North America. ESCO services Flair-It sales east of the Mississippi out of Elkhart, Indiana. Leggett Supply Inc. services the central states west of the Mississippi to the Rockies out of Oklahoma City. The west coast is serviced by Cirque Sales and Distribution out of the state of Washington. 3. What plumbing markets are sold and serviced by
Flair-It? Flair-It has fitting applications for the plumbing
wholesaler/contractor, RV/Marine, Manufactured Housing and hardware retail markets. For the past 20 years Flair-It has dominated the RV and Marine market with its locking nut fitting technology (6000 series picture). Flair-It technology revolves around sealing on the ID of the PEX pipe, not the OD. 4. What plumbing programs does Flair-It offer to the
housing market? Flair-It cut its teeth on the RV and Marine market and
from there developed the next generation composite insert fitting program called Flair-It PRO. The PRO series was specifically designed for the housing market. The PRO system is comprised of any PEX tubing, a plastic PRO ring and a PRO fitting. A small hand tool pulls the ring and PEX up on to the patented Flair-It cone on the fitting body, making what’s termed as an S.I.S. (superior inside seal). This all-plastic system is approved for residential, commercial and institutional use (NSF, CSA and IAPMO). The unique design allows for hidden wall installs. To compliment the Flair-It PRO system Flair-It offers
modular and fixed based manifolds. These manifolds can be purchased either in components or fully assembled on a steel mounting plate. Both designs allow the plumbing contractor to customize in remodel projects or create a potable water distribution panel for new home construction (see manifold photo). 5. Do the three Flair-It distributors offer any other
plumbing besides Flair-It? The Flair-It distributors also sell and service all types of
PEX plumbing components. We are considered PEXperts. We offer a forty-eight page PEX plumbing catalog that features everything from our proprietary crimp system called BESTPEX (see photo) to our PROBite brass push on fittings, and everything in between, like risers, install tools, brass insert fittings, ECOpoly plastic insert fittings, and PEX A, B and C pipe.
